Dan's 20+ years in architecture and construction led to health care regulatory work, which he honed as an Architect - Advanced with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Office of Plan Review and Inspection. He has reviewed construction documents for architectural, structural, mechanical, essential electrical, medical gas, and accessibility compliance; inspected construction in progress for those same trades; reviewed the physical environment for licensure; and conducted federal life safety code surveys. That work covered every type of licensed health care facility in Wisconsin: hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, behavioral health facilities, and surgical centers. While at DHS, he also wrote published code clarifications and taught the code, both inside the department and at industry conferences including the UW-Madison College of Engineering's annual Commercial Building Code Refresher.

At SourcePath, Dan anchors the regulatory foundation the platform is built on: capturing code knowledge, validating interpretations, and establishing what a given wall, door or system actually has to satisfy and under which code path. His code knowledge depth and experience as an educator let him convey not just the rule but the reasoning a surveyor applies to reach it. His concept that the building becomes the interface shapes the platform's structure: compliance is organized around the physical building, its spaces, barriers and systems, rather than around a list of findings. The goal is a facility that understands its own building, the passive and active systems working together, and how those systems protect residents who cannot protect themselves.

Ryan leads SourcePath's operational strategy, go-to-market execution, and business development. His background spans U.S. Army Psychological Operations, healthcare executive leadership, and technology, giving him a unique lens on how to bring complex products to market and scale them efficiently.
